Keith Urban ‘Carried’ Nicole Kidman After Sudden Death of Her Father

Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman are no doubt one of the biggest power couples in not only country music, but the entertainment industry as a whole. Although their title and status may make fans overlook the depth of their relationship, it’s true to point out that the two have a love so strong that they would cross oceans for one another.

After the sudden passing of Kidman’s father back in 2014, Urban proved his devotion for his wife by dropping everything in his power to rush to her side and support her through the worst tragedy one can face in life. In a sit-down interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Kidman discussed the moment she needed the country star by her side and he didn’t let any obstacles get in the way of their passion for each other.

“I had a husband that came right back. I called him screaming and crying, and he was about to go on stage and he walked off stage, and he got on a plane. He had just gotten there—he flew six hours and he was right back there and he literally picked me up and pretty much carried me through the next two weeks,” she admitted about the death, which she said had “shattered [her] beyond belief.”

Urban and Kidman have only been married since 2006, but the native Australian actress still calls Nashville her home above anything else.

“When I met Keith, he brought me down here. We went to a place called Leiper’s Fork, which is about 40 minutes from here…hmm, 30 minutes. And I was like, ‘Oh, I so hope he asks me to marry him and I can live here,’” Kidman laughed.
