After releasing the new music video for his current radio single, “Blue Ain’t Your Color,” Keith Urban gave fans a sneak peek of what went behind the concept of the video in a behind-the-scenes look.

People Magazine premiered the behind-the-camera look on how the simplistic video was made, getting both Urban’s and the director’s perspective on what they wanted the video to embody based on the song’s nature.

“Approaching how we would do a video for this song started really with trying to see how we could keep the simplicity of the song represented visually in a video and yet keep it sort of a little ambiguous so a viewer can feel their own story within the song,” Urban explained in the video.

Making a point that they wanted everything to paint the picture of this uncomplicated concept, Urban and the director agreed on black-and-white film in a basic street bar and the three-piece band set-up.

Another major piece to the video’s puzzle that fit perfectly into the scene was the casting of model Amber Valleta as the main character seen throughout the clip. While her story and reasoning is unknown, Urban believes she added a mysterious dynamic that alluded to another theme that could possibly be hidden within the video.
