Keith Urban just couldn’t stay away from the fireworks and festivities, so he decided to come back for the second year in a row to headline the Nashville New Year’s Eve extravaganza.

Urban will perform as the main guest of the night to ring in 2018 during the Jack Daniel’s Music City Midnight: New Year’s Eve in Nashville held at Nashville’s Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park. Joining him for the occasion will be Maren Morris, Carly Pearce, Cheap Trick, Jonny P and the Fisk Jubilee Singers.

The show will also hold a spot with New York and Los Angeles throughout the night as a part of the CNN broadcast, New Year’s Eve Live with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen.

Although New Year’s Eve is a night familiar to Urban’s performances, it rings true for the country singer that playing in his adopted city means more than any other stage in the world.

“I’ve lived here now for 24 years, so I know how Nashvillians know how to throw a party, and every year this one just gets bigger and bigger — so we’ll be bringin’ it,” said of the 2017 New Year celebration.

Just as last year, the concert will be free to the public but will open up the park as a first come, first serve scenario for those who want the best seats in the house to wait for that midnight hour with the help of some killer performances.

Gates for the Jack Daniel’s Music City Midnight: New Year’s Eve in Nashville will open at 4 p.m. CT on December 31, 2017, with the concert kicking off after the 6:15 p.m. raising of the Music Note.
