Keith Urban is well known for his one-of-a-kind guitar skills and branching off into long guitar solos during his concerts. But when a young girl during a Twitter chat showed that she had what it takes to play guitar with the singer, he instantly invited her out to a show.

19-year-old South Australia native Ellen Tefanis received an invitation from Urban himself to join him at his Dec. 17 show in Brisbane, Australia. “My first thought was is it real,” Ellen told Sounds Like Nahville via Facebook. “I couldn’t believe until I watched the video and when Keith’s manager got in touch with me. Then I was excited!”

The young guitar slinger eagerly accepted, hopped on a flight and made her way to Brisbane.

“I was doing a Twitter chat the other day down in Sydney and I got this person who sent in a video of themselves playing guitar and said ‘I want to come and play for you.’ And I said ‘come on!’ So, she is from South Australia, she’s 19, she’s here tonight,” Urban said in a video posted to YouTube as he beckoned Ellen to the stage. The Port Pirie native jumped in for the next song on the set list, “Good Thing,” from Urban’s 2013 album Fuse.

The experience left the teen with nothing but the utmost appreciation for the singer and memories to last a lifetime.

“Keith is the most amazing person anyone will meet,” said Ellen. “He is willing to give anyone a chance. I had the opportunity to soundcheck with Keith on show day and there I was given all access passes, which meant I could go anywhere before, during or after the show. Not only did I have the opportunity to play and hang out with Keith but also had the chance to meet musicians from all over the world including Carrie Underwood.”

“Keith gave me an amazing gift that night.,” she concluded. “The crowd was amazing and he performed to the best of his ability (like he always does). His love for music is shown through his talent.”

Urban continuously made headlines during his run down under when he had young singers come onstage to show their vocal skills off to his fans.

‘Good Things’ just keep pouring in for Urban as he just notched his 22nd No.1 song with “Blue Ain’t Your Color,” the fourth single from his Ripcord album. He was also recently nominated for three GRAMMY Awards in the Best Country Album, Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance categories, respectively. The 59th Annual GRAMMY Awards will air live on Sunday, February 12, on CBS.
