Keith Urban Once Flew Around the World for Nicole Kidman’s Ultrasound
His incredible feat earns him best husband and best father awards, for sure.
While American Idol may be off the air now, Keith Urban reunited with his pal from the show, Harry Connick Jr., when he stopped by the set of Harry to catch up on his hectic year.
Discussing a number of topics with the host, Urban put on his dad cap to reveal his dedication to his loving family. It’s no surprise that the GRAMMY-winning singer devotes as much time as he can to his wife, Nicole Kidman, and daughters at home, but his big adventure for a doctor’s appointment during the pregnancy proves he truly is one of the best fathers around.
“I flew to Sydney once when Nic was pregnant and she was having an ultrasound and I was on tour in the states and so I just got on a plane and got down there,” he explained on the daytime talk show.

To add even more cred to his already top dad status, Urban said the timing of it all wasn’t as long as most couples have together. In fact, the country singer told Connick Jr. that it was only a few hours he spent to be with the woman he loves during that special time in their relationship of expanding their family.
“I think the flight landed at 9:00AM, we went and had the ultrasound, went and had lunch and then it was a 2:00PM departure back to the states and so lunch, ultrasound and home and back on the road again,” Urban admitted candidly.

Urban is currently nominated for seven ACM Awards for this year’s event, which will air live from Las Vegas on Sunday, April 2, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
