Music is just one of those things that spreads hope and joy to its listeners, and Musicians on Call makes that happen for patients in hospital beds around the nation.

To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the non-profit organization, Keith Urban got into the spirit of giving back as he surprised patients at The Children’s Hospital at TriStar Centennial Hospital in Nashville. Performing some of his biggest hits to his littlest fans, Urban put on a show for his enthused audience, including songs like “Wasted Time,” “Blue Ain’t Your Color,” “Somebody Like You,” and more.

As a dedicated Nashville citizen and devoted member to the Musicians on Call cause, Urban was honored to reach out to the kids in his own creative way. He cherished the moments spent with the families and patients throughout his time spent at the hospital, making what he does for a living even more worthwhile and powerful.

“The power of music to not only connect people, but to bring comfort into someone’s life is something quite divine,” said Urban. “Visiting with these kids and their families yesterday was truly inspiring, as was the chance to play for them and bring a little light to their day, even if for a few moments. I’m very grateful to Musicians on Call for the good work they do and honored to be a small part of that.”

Musicians on Call was founded back in 1999 in order to bring a creative outlet for patients in hospitals all across the country. Supporting both live and recorded music, the non-profit found help through the music community and many artists began to volunteer their time toward performing shows for people everywhere who couldn’t make the time out to go see them in concert due to illnesses or other medical issues.

Urban is just one of many artists who has lent their talents to the organization. Other singers like Kelsea Ballerini, Sam Hunt, Lady Antebellum, Martina McBride, Reba and many more have given their voices to bring light into the lives of many connected through Musicians on Call.

Musicians on Call will celebrate their 10th anniversary this year with even more high-profile visits from artists and an engagement campaign to encourage supporters and thank them for their service. Those interested can head over to the MOC website for more information and details about the charity.
