Just two days after a spell-binding performance by Keith Urban at the Nashville Predators’ playoff game, Kelly Clarkson delivered an equally memorable performance of the National Anthem ahead of Thursday Night’s (5/18) game. Clarkson stepped center ice for their performance as crazed Smashville fans prepared to root their team on to another big win.

The Texas native is well versed in the anthem having performed it at the Super Bowl in 2012. Her patriotic pride runs deeps as the GRAMMY-winner has also performed “My Country ‘Tis of Thee” at the 2013 Obama inauguration. This won’t be the last fans hear from her as she prepares to release a new album later this year and acts as a mentor on the spring 2018 season of NBC’s The Voice.

The Music City hockey team has kept fans on their toes when it came to announcing who’d take the lead for the Star-Spangled Banner performance by not sharing who’d take the mic until they stepped out onto the ice. Carrie Underwood kicked off the string of A-listers after requesting to represent her husband (and Preds captain) Mike Fisher. Since the Oklahoma native’s powerhouse performance, Luke Bryan, Little Big Town, Lady Antebellum, Vince Gill and Keith Urban have all put their pipes to the test to represent the Nashville Predators.

The Preds face-off against the Anaheim Ducks for game four in the Conference Finals and currently lead the series 2-1. The teams will return to the Ducks’ home turf in the Honda Center on Saturday, May 20.
