Kelsea Ballerini Calls ‘Dibs’ On No.1 Spot
NEW YORK, NY - JULY 17: Singer Kelsea Ballerini performs during 'FOX & Friends' All American Concert Series outside of FOX Studios on July 17, 2015 in New York City.

Kelsea Ballerini is calling “Dibs” on the No.1 spot at Country radio this week.

The 22-year-old is sitting pretty at the top of the charts with her hit, “Dibs.” The song, which was co-written by Ballerini along with Josh Kerr, Ryan Griffin, and Jason Duke, is the second single from her debut album, The First Time. It also marks her second consecutive chart-topping release, following her debut smash, “Love Me Like You Mean It.”

Ballerini shared a heartfelt message to fans on Twitter after getting the news that “Dibs” was No.1.

“Woke up and started bawling reading emails and texts because DIBS IS NUMBER ONE AND WE JUST DID IT AGAIN,” she wrote. “I am so proud and honored to work with people that fight daily to have my voice heard on the radio. And have radio fight daily to give me a voice. It is such a dream.”

The Tennessee native recently revealed that her next single from the album will be the fan-favorite “Peter Pan.” She recently shot the music video with sought-after director Kristen Barlowe and called it “the most magical, epic music video ever.” The release date for the video has yet to be announced.

Ballerini, who was named Billboard’s Women In Music’s “Rising Star” late last year, is currently nominated for two Academy of Country Music Awards, including Female Vocalist of the Year and New New Female Vocalist of the Year. Fans can catch her on the road with Billy Currington this spring.
