Kelsea Ballerini Can’t Wait to ‘Warm Up the Stage’ For Thomas Rhett

When Thomas Rhett was thinking of who he would want to represent the Home Team on the lineup for his tour next year, Kelsea Ballerini was a hard-hitter he definitely wanted on board.
But not only did Rhett select her because she would be a shining star on his roster for tour, but he has developed a tight-knit friendship with the country cutie as they have both found major success over the past year with huge radio singles and award recognition.
Although the “Peter Pan” singer is taking on the task of headlining her own show during The First Time Tour, Ballerini seems just as pumped to join Rhett for some time on the road and get to hang out with him night after night.
“He’s on fire right now. Also, [he’s] just the nicest dude. I love him and his wife. We’re all friends, so to be able to tour with your friends is very fun and I’m gonna hopefully warm the stage up for him, nice and hot every night,” she told Sounds Like Nashville at a recent event.
Both Ballerini and Rhett are celebrating at the moment before their busy 2017 schedules kick off as they were nominated for GRAMMY Awards in the Best New Artist and Best Country Song respectively.
