Kelsea Ballerini Goes Techno for the Chainsmokers Collaboration ‘This Feeling’

EDM-pop duo The Chainsmokers have a long list of star-studded collaborations under their belts. The duo, comprised of Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart, have combined forces with artists including Florida Georgia Line, Halsey, Coldplay, Daya and Jhene Aiko. For their latest jam, they tagged Kelsea Ballerini.

Called “This Feeling,” the song features Ballerini’s soaring vocals on a track that  from her normal country-pop lane.

“They tell me think with my head, not that thing in my chest / they got their hands at my neck this time / but you’re the one that I want, if that’s really so wrong / then they don’t know what this feeling is like,” the Tennessee native sings.

“This has been in making a the while,” The Chainsmokers shared ahead of the song’s release via Reddit. “Kelsea is a good homie of ours and we both have always said we would love to work together. The track suits her perfectly and is catchy as hell! Excited for you all to hear it!”

Ballerini and The Chainsmokers first connected in 2016 after a Twitter exchange that left fans with crossed fingers hoping a duet would come to fruition.

The “This Feeling” collaboration isn’t Ballerini’s only crossover fans can expect. In addition to revealing plans to become The Voice’s fifth coach, she’ll embark on the nationwide Meaning of Life Tour in support of Kelly Clarkson in 2019.
