Although Kelsea Ballerini never swung a golf club in her life, she made hitting some balls around look like her new day job.

Ballerini headed over to TopGolf in Tampa, Florida, to hang out with Lady Antebellum member Charles Kelley for a round of golf in between soundcheck and their show later that night. As documented in an episode of “The Hook with Charles Kelley,” the two belted out the words to “Legends” on the way to play.

Once there, Ballerini learned some skills from Kelley and his brother, John, before the competition commenced. The name of the game happened to be distance and Ballerini stayed close to the Lady A singer as a team against John for the true handicap advantage.

The Kelley boys aimed for each of the colored targets depending on which hole they set their sights on landing in, while Ballerini took the backseat and continued to practice her swing by making it into any score spot she could on the course. A neck-and-neck battle until the bitter end, Ballerini and Kelley prevailed as the winners and the victory tasted so sweet as John was forced to dress up as the TopGolf mascot for the afternoon.

He may have pretended to hate the costume, but John definitely milked the attention from guests as he greeted them through the door with Ballerini and Kelley laughing their days away.

As just another bonding experience for the two, Ballerini and Kelley got to know each other well while the “Dibs” singer opened for Lady A out on the You Look Good Tour. Always joining in on the shenanigans, Ballerini got to experience life out on the road with the country trio and their hijinks left a mark on the country cutie without a doubt.
