Songs get their inspiration from a number of outlets: love, heartbreak, family. But Kelsea Ballerini decided to take some negative words written on the internet and turn them into lyrical content all her own.

The country cutie went to hang out with Rhett and Link from the Good Mythical Morning vlog channel on YouTube to turn insults into happiness in a segment dubbed “Mamas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Web Trolls.” Admitting that she herself has left some not-too-nice messages on her Uber ratings from time to time, Ballerini helped the guys make some royalty-free country songs based off random passive-aggressive virtual notes.

Rhett got things started with a rather descriptive WebMD review left on the site regarding a weird rash-like reaction around a private area. Ballerini cringed throughout the performance, hoping not to hear too many intimate details about the skin ailment and giving her ears a break from the disgusting factor.

The beat moved the tempo up a notch as Link rocked his hips to a real-life parking note left on a car. As the person climaxed from one problem to the next, Ballerini chuckled at the lengths some people go to in order to get their point across about driving situations.

It was Ballerini’s turn last and they saved the best for her, as she was required to sing about a dead bird in a neighbor’s driveway. Adding a couple stylistic riffs into the parody, she even got a couple giggles out of the YouTube hosts.

While she stopped by, Ballerini also sang her brand new single, “I Hate Love Songs,” with an alternative verse added in by Rhett and Link’s country band called Rabbit Lightning. The fun didn’t stop as they collaborated together for the live performance, causing Ballerini to smile in a big way.

Ballerini’s next single, “I Hate Love Songs,” can be found on her Unapologetically album, which is available now.
