2016 is shaping up to be a HUGE year for Kelsea Ballerini.

The rising star was named Breakthrough Female of the Year at the 2016 American Country Countdown Awards and was presented with the trophy by Scotty McCreery.

“This is amazing,” the Tennessee native shared. “Since I was a little girl, I always wondered what it would be like to hear my song on the radio, and the last two years Country radio has given me the gift of knowing and I will forever be grateful for that, so thank you Country radio.”

She continued, “To the fans, to the people who have supported my music and made me feel so much love in the last two years, thank you so much. To the Country music community for being as incredible as I had always imagined, thank you. And to my incredible team that fights to let the world hear my voice everyday, I love you guys and thank you for working so hard.”

Ballerini also performed her chart-topping hit, “Dibs,” during the broadcast.
