‘In Between’ everything Kelsea Ballerini has going on, the Tennessee native plans to ‘Unapologetically’ return to ‘High School’ and play some new ‘Music’ for the fans she calls ‘Legends.’ The bubbly blonde has teamed up with the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development for a homecoming show on Oct. 28 in Knoxville, TN to celebrate the release of her sophomore album, Unapologetically.

“How cool to be able to come home to Knoxville and celebrate this next big moment in my life with you! Central High is such a special place for me. I was in the glee club and got to perform in musicals on the same stage where I sang a song I wrote for the very first time,” Ballerini said in a press release. “This city … this high school … really helped shape my life and I can’t wait to share my new songs with you!”

“Partnering on an album launch with Kelsea Ballerini, a native Tennessean, is a great fit to further emphasize the Soundtrack of America is Made in Tennessee,” added Kevin Triplett, commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development. “The tip of the cap to her roots in returning to her high school in Knoxville brings together great music and a wonderful family experience in one of the state’s premiere destinations – Knoxville. We are pleased to be part of helping make it happen.”

Ballerini will perform songs from the upcoming project for fans at her alma mater, Central High School. Fans can win their way into the event by following the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development on Snapchat. By following “Tennessee,” fans will find out how to win their way in, and also view exclusive content with the CMA Awards nominee.

The concert is the icing on the cake for an already impressive year for Ballerini. In addition to recently wrapping her domestic and international opening slot on Lady Antebellum’s You Look Good Tour, she will perform at the ‘Opry Goes Pink’ concert on Oct. 24 and will make the media rounds surrounding her album release on Nov. 3. Ballerini is also currently nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year at the 51st annual CMA Awards.
