Chasing your dreams isn’t always easy, especially when the people who are supposed to show unconditional love aren’t standing beside you. Thankfully for Kelsea Ballerini, she clung to the people who made her who she is as she went after every opportunity laid out in front of her.

While visiting the daytime television show, The Talk, Ballerini revealed that her parents never stopped her from believing in her crazy dreams. Noting that they came from the hardworking generation many years before her, Ballerini’s mom and dad just wanted her to do whatever she was passionate about, even if it was an uphill battle.

“My parents have always been supportive…They were very much so, ‘go find out what makes you happy and do it,’ you know. We’ll figure it out. It’s really cool, especially in music, to support that,” Ballerini admitted to the hosts.

Justin Hartley from the hit television drama, This Is Us, agreed with Ballerini being a parent himself and wanting his daughter to go after any aspirations she sets her heart on as she grows up. Ballerini also discussed other matters of love and various issues that the hosts honed in on for the day’s breakdown, giving her genuine reactions alongside the actor for how she truly feels over each individual topic.

The country cutie is currently out on the road with Thomas Rhett for the Home Team Tour, which runs throughout the spring. Fans can find dates and ticket information on her website.
