It’s almost time to bust out the Christmas pajamas!

What? Never heard of that tradition? Well, it’s one that Kelsea Ballerini and her family holds dear. It seems as if every year, the singer and her clan get dressed up in their finest matching nightwear as chosen by the mama of the house.

“Well, me and my mom have this tradition that we’ve had for forever. She gets very embarrassing pajamas and each year, they get progressively more embarrassing,” Ballerini explained to Sounds Like Nashville and other media recently. “Whoever is with us on Christmas Eve, which is now my stepdad and all my step-siblings, all my family friends that come over, so it’s like a group of like 15 now, we all wear these pajamas and if we go to church, if we go to the grocery store, whatever, we have to wear the pajamas wherever we go. It’s pretty funny.”

Ballerini teased the tradition in a series of posts on Instagram last year, where she and her family dressed as Santa’s helpers for the unexpectedly mild Tennessee Christmas. Even her furbaby Dibs got in on the action with his very own Elf costume.

We only wonder what can top the Christmas 2015 garb!

baby, it’s not cold outside.
