Kenny Chesney’s epic Spread the Love Tour came to a close over the weekend with back-to-back sold-out nights at Foxboro’s Gillette Stadium. A total of 121,399 fans came to see the eight-time Entertainer of the Year over both nights, and while each show was a memorable night for many, longtime Kenny Chesney fan Kelly Swanson will never forget Saturday’s concert.

While singing a medley of Steve Miller Band’s “The Joker” and Bob Marley’s “Three Little Birds,” Chesney spotted a special fan (Swanson) in the audience and invited her to join him on stage. As she made her way onto the stage Chesney removed her ball cap to reveal her bald head. He the took off his own and put his bald head against hers as he sang the line “every little thing is gonna be alright.” Swanson and Chesney then exchanged a hug before he kissed her head and she made her way back to her spot in the pit near the stage.

The following morning, Swanson took to Facebook to share her thoughts on the memorable moment.

“For all those that know me know that Kenny Chesney is my utmost favorite entertainer and I have attended many of his shows over the years,” she wrote. “Last night was amazing. It was a true testament of the type of person Kenny is……a genuine stand out human being that spreads the love. As if it wasn’t enough for him to catch my eye to let me know ‘every little thing is gonna be alright …I promise’ but to be brought up on stage was so surreal. Thank you Kenny for making my night so special and one I will never forget.”

She also thanked her friends and support system who have been there for her through her battle with cancer and professed, “I wouldn’t have wanted to end my summer any differently than with all of you.”
