No Shoes Nation definitely had Kenny Chesney’s back this week as they helped him earn the No. 1 position on Billboard’s Top 200 Album chart with the release of his live record, Live in No Shoes Nation.

Taking the year off to relax from life on the road, Chesney didn’t want his devoted fanbase to miss out on the summer traditions he’s built up throughout his career. Giving them the sounds and songs from previous runs on the road, Live in No Shoes Nation embodied his summer tour atmosphere in album form and the fans responded with great adoration.

“It’s such a rush to hear No Shoes Nation in full force,” Chesney said in a celebratory press release. “As fast as the nights go down, I didn’t even realize how good they sound – and the energy, the heart and the voices are awesome in the moment – so I wanted to make sure they got to hear what I was hearing during my year off.”

The release of this live album marks the eighth time that Chesney snagged the top slot on the prestigious Billboard chart, as well as his 15th No. 1 on the Top Country Albums list. With a total sales number reaching 219,000 copies, the collection marks the best country live debut of the century.

Chesney consistently reminded his fans and other country listeners that no matter the success he amounts to, it’s always about them and for them in every career endeavor he embarks on.

“So much has happened over the last 10 years. But the one thing that remained consistent, that’s been there no matter what are the people of No Shoes Nation. They’ve always been why I do what I do, but listening to all these shows, I realized they’re the heartbeat to everything me and my road family do. The more I heard those voices singing, the energy and the power, the more I wanted everyone who’s ever come to our shows to hear it, too. Those moments when you’re so completely free are the greatest feeling in the world…,” he reveled.

The “All the Pretty Girls” singer will head back out on the road next summer, hitting stadiums across the country with Thomas Rhett, Old Dominion and Brandon Lay. Ticket information is available on Chesney’s official website.
