Kenny Chesney Pumped to Have Miranda Lambert as Tour Mate Again
“She’s one of my favorite people in the world, and in this business. She’s very creative, she cares about her fans, she cares about the music, and she puts on a great show," said Chesney.
Both Kenny Chesney and Miranda Lambert are no strangers to the tour life. They also aren’t strangers to touring together as well.
Chesney is plugging through the summer on his Spread the Love Tour, which features Lambert for certain dates as she treks on her own tour. While it isn’t the first time that the two artists have hit the road together, Chesney still appreciates the energy that Lambert exudes in her performances.
“This is her second tour with us. I’m not sure what year it was that she opened for us but it was a very fun summer, and so to have Miranda out there…look, the fun meter is just going to go up a little higher,” he said.
Putting together two country heavy-hitters could clash heads, but Chesney recognizes the talent that Lambert gives off and respects the bond they have created over the past few years.
“She’s one of my favorite people in the world, and in this business. She’s very creative, she cares about her fans, she cares about the music, and she puts on a great show. I love people around me, around the tour, that just brings a certain energy and Miranda brings it,” said Chesney.
Throw in exciting artists like Sam Hunt and Old Dominion, who are also a part of the Spread the Love Tour, and fans know they’re in for a solid time.
