"Maybe the No Shoes Nation wants to see me as badly as I want to see them. Because knowing those shows are coming… that’s going to make winter pass a whole lot faster,” said Chesney.

The No Shoes Nation love for Kenny Chesney is stronger than ever as they helped him sell out 106,000 tickets in a matter of hours for his 2017 New England shows.

The country singer recently announced that he would be playing only two massive stadium shows during the next year unlike in previous years where he has gone touring across the country playing huge venues in various cities along the way. Chesney just wanted a break from the chaos, but just as the dust started to settle, he got the urge to set up two special shows for those dedicated fans during the late summer of next year.

Boston was calling and Chesney could not refuse when he decided to come back to the home of the New England Patriots for not just one, but two nights. After taking time and considering how much the thrill of the stage gives to him year after year, Chesney stepped up to the plate and can’t wait to get back to his No Shoes Nation come August.

“I didn’t know if it was the right thing. It feels a little like cheating, because I said I was taking the year off. But once we sent the trucks and the gear home and I stopped for a little bit, I was still hearing the cheers from those two crazy nights in my ears. How often can you tap into energy that carries you for weeks; that inspires you and stays with you? So I called my manager and my promoter, said, ‘I know it’s unconventional, but I’d really like to play Boston – even if it’s just once.’ Now they tell me we sold over 106,000 tickets in a couple hours. Maybe the No Shoes Nation wants to see me as badly as I want to see them. Because knowing those shows are coming… that’s going to make winter pass a whole lot faster,” said Chesney.

Chesney will be heading to Boston on August 25 and 26 to play Gillette Stadium for his No Shoes Nations. Fans can find more information about the shows on his website now.
