Putting his time off the road to good use, Kip Moore has dedicated himself to helping out underprivileged kids whenever he gets a free moment.

Moore was on hand in Cincinnati, Ohio, for the opening of the Warsaw Federal Skatepark, which was an initiative put on by the Lower Price Hill Neighborhood Enhancement Program. The park, which features a 35-foot-by-68-foot pump track and rails to grind on, was created as a safe place for kids to hang out at and learn some sick skills in the sport.

The lucky kids who attended the opening of the skatepark not only got to ride their boards around the new area, but were also gifted with free skateboards, helmets, kneepads and backpacks.

The “Running for You” singer has been helping out with this project for quite some time now. As the first initiative for the “Kip’s Kids Fund,” he started working on the “Comeback Kid Skatepark Project” to encourage all children to get up and get out there in a safe environment. The charitable work has been rewarding for Moore in a way he has always wanted as an artist.

“I’m always searching for purpose in my life,” Moore said.  “I battle the feeling of if I’m doing enough with the small amount of time I have on this earth each day.  I’m so blessed to get to do what I do, but I have always believed with those blessings come responsibility. Days like today give me that feeling of purpose. I get to see a direct impact in a needed community. I get to see the smiles on these kid’s faces and the positive impact it creates.  There are so many things I wanna do in the inner cities and this is just the beginning.”

Moore has also assisted with the opening of skateparks in Nashville, Boston, San Marcos, Texas and Annapolis, Maryland. Those interested in donating to the cause and discover more in-depth information about Moore’s work HERE.
