After careful consideration for the health and well-being of her twins, Lady Antebellum announced they would be cancelling their tour dates in South Africa in the best interest of Hillary Scott’s pregnancy.

The October 13 date in Capetown, South Africa, and the October 15 date in Johannesburg, South Africa, will not follow through after the band came to the conclusion that it was best for Scott not to travel so far. Saddened by their decision to not take their show across the globe, Lady A promised they would make plans to come sooner rather than later.

“We are thrilled for Hillary and her precious twin girls, but want to share our deepest apologies to our fans. We have dreamed of performing in South Africa for years and can’t wait to make new plans to visit your beautiful country soon,” the country trio said in a statement (via Channel 24).

Scott announced she and her husband, Chris Tyrrell, were expecting back in August at the same time that her bandmate Dave Haywood spread the news that his family would be growing as well. Just one day after their exciting announcement, Scott went on the record to say the couple would be having twins in February of 2018. They followed up a month later on September 14 by sharing with fans that they were expecting twin girls.

The couple welcomed their first daughter, Eisele Kaye, on July 22, 2013, and planned on building a family from there on out. Scott then suffered from a miscarriage in the fall of 2015, inspiring her hit gospel song, “Thy Will.”

Fans who purchased tickets to the shows can get refunded depending on their method of purchase. For those who bought their seats online, the card purchase will be completely given back via their account. In-store purchase must be redeemed at any Computicket outlet. More information can be found by emailing Computicket directly.
