Lauren Akins Partners with DIFF Eyewear to Fundraise for 147 Million Orphans

As a mother of two and an advocate for helping out kids all around the world, Thomas Rhett’s wife, Lauren Akins, has teamed up with DIFF Eyewear to create a line of sunglasses to benefit the lives of orphans in Uganda.

DIFF Eyewear, known for their charitable eyewear mission, partnered with Akins to design a collection that not only passes the cuteness factor, but also gives back with the simple purchase of some shades. Making the glasses affordable for all to wear and slashing any outside costs to keep the commerce simple, Akins couldn’t wait to use the power of fashion for good when she got together with DIFF.

“Together, we’re working to provide food and shelter for orphaned children in sweet Willa Gray’s homeland of Uganda. It’s so amazing and I’m so proud to be a part of some of the GOOD in the world today. Not only will DIFF be donating to 147 Million Orphans, but they will also be continuing their buy a pair, give a pair program where for each pair of sunglasses sold, a pair of eyewear is donated to someone in need where the resources aren’t readily available,” Akins said about her charitable collaboration.

The sunnies design comes in four shades for fans to choose from, in which Akins approved of all and sports them constantly in her adorable Instagram posts. Each pair may look the same, but they come in hues of rose gold rose flash, rose gold brown gradient, black grey and black ice blue.

Each pair costs $85, with a portion of the proceeds raised by Akins and DIFF Eyewear going right back into helping out the children from 147 Million Orphans. The organization supports children without homes by providing them with shelter, food, water and other necessities for a full and healthy life.
