Lauren Alaina Makes Television Debut of ‘Road Less Traveled’ on ‘TODAY’

Bringing a song with a big message to the small screen, Lauren Alaina visited the Today show to perform her current single, “Road Less Traveled,” on Thursday (9/8).

The country singer visited the Studio 1A set during Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb’s portion of the popular morning talk show to make her television debut of the hit, which she co-wrote with Jesse Fraser and pop artist Meghan Trainor.

Belting out the lyrics while having fun with her band, Alaina captivated the hosts and at-home audience with her superb vocal and strong persona. She showed off her personality in full as she strutted her stuff across the stage and gave it her all throughout the television performance.

“Road Less Traveled” is a song that’s deeply personal to Alaina as it sparked the conversation of encouragement toward young adults to be who they are regardless of society’s defined rules of shape size. Alaina wanted the song to represent a courageous action in spite of her previous struggles with eating disorders, in which she’s become more vocal about throughout the past few months.

The single, “Road Less Traveled,” is featured on Alaina’s self-titled EP and is available for purchase on digital music retailers now. Check out her killer television debut of the track on Today in the clip above.
