‘Wear out your boots and kick up the gravel,’ because Lauren Alaina scored her first-ever No. 1 hit on the Billboard and MediaBase country airplay charts with “Road Less Traveled.”

After grinding its way week after week, Alaina’s personal tribute to her life struggles over the past few years found a home at the top of the Country Airplay charts. This marks an achievement in the country star’s career, as she has never received the top single of the week accolade until her success with this track.

Alaina was overcome with emotions when she got the news and cried happy tears while thanking fans in a heartwarming video posted through her social media channels. Not even able to say the words of her accomplishment, Alaina showed gratitude for all of the listeners and the support they’ve given to her for the past six years.

“I’m going to have a No. 1 hit for the rest of my life,” Alaina tearfully said of the song she co-wrote alongside Jesse Frasure and Meghan Trainor. “I appreciate your support. I’m sorry I’m ugly-crying. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone and say that I hope it’s the first of many.”

Celebrating with family and friends, Alaina even got back to her silly self by posting another cute Instagram video of her impromptu party that showed off her true colors despite the big moment happening in her career.

“Apparently having the number one song in the country does not make you less of a dork. Forever on the #RoadLessTraveled #ohhhhh,” she captioned the clip.

“Road Less Traveled” is the title track off of Alaina’s latest album, which is available everywhere now.
