Lennon & Maisy Release Powerful Coldplay Cover
The sister's harmonies are on point during their cover of "Up and Up."
From Robyn’s “Call Your Girlfriend” to Charli XCX’s “Boom Clap,” Nashville stars Lennon & Maisy have covered a wide variety of today’s biggest hits. Today, the sister duo released a new video for their cover of Coldplay’s “Up and Up.”
The powerful track shows Lennon, 17, and Maisy, 13, surrounded by their peers in colorful “Be Love” shirts, promoting a message of passion and love.
“We covered ‘Up and Up’ because it has a really cool message. It’s all about coming together to make a difference,” the duo told Sounds Like Nashville.
With lyrics like, “We’re gonna get it, get it together I know / Gonna get it, get it together somehow / Gonna get it, get it together and flower / We’re gonna get it, get it together, I know / Gonna get it, get it together and flow / Gonna get it, get it together and go / Up and up and up,” the girls are able to showcase an impactful message combined with their killer sibling harmonies.
The girls first got their start starring as siblings on ABC’s drama Nashville. The show was recently dropped by the network, but picked up by CMT, creating the highest ratings for the network to date.
Creating covers and starring in a hit show aren’t the only thing the teens are up to either. The sibling duo recently released an exclusive furniture line for Pottery Barn Teen and released a book with HarperCollins.
