After several weeks of anticipation, Sugarland has debuted their first single in seven years, “Still The Same.” Released via Big Machine Records and UMG Nashville, the track features soaring vocals from Jennifer Nettles with Kristian Bush’s impressive musicianship and background vocals.

Accompanying the release of the track was an audio video posted to YouTube which features snippets of clips from the duo in years past. Intermingled with the past shots are more recent ones from the recording process and a photo shoot. The clip, like the song’s lyrics, showcase how the duo is back and still the same, yet refreshed and ready for a new chapter.

“We are thrilled for fans to hear our new music, especially this new single,” Nettles previously stated in a press release. “The title of the song is so meaningful to us as we want fans to know, we are still the same, we are still the same Sugarland they’ve known and loved.”

“We want to finish where we left off. We always knew were going to make music again, so this has been the best of both worlds,” concluded Bush. “We were able to take time to feed our personal passions, and we’re excited to come back together to create music as a band again.”

The duo will take “Still The Same,” as well as many of their classic hits like All I Want to Do,” “Stay,” “Stuck Like Glue,” “Baby Girl,” “It Happens,” “Settlin’,” “Something More,” “Want To,” among others, out on the road in 2018 when they embark on a new tour. Sugarland will also perform on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2018, live from New York City.
