Listen to Lady Antebellum’s Jazzy New Single, ‘You Look Good’
The trio, who took time off last year to pursue their own solo side projects, banded back together to create a big-band number for their first showing of the New Year. “You Feel Good” mashes together the jazzy sounds of a horn section with the group’s melodious harmonies, capturing a song that radiates both a subtle sexiness and good vibes alike.
With an infectious chorus that grooves in a funky yet soulful way, Lady Antebellum wanted this album and their new single to represent the development they’ve had separately and together as a group. Produced by hitmaker busbee and co-written by Ryan Hurd and busbee, they feel like the growth shown through their instrumental experimentation on this track embodies the next chapter in their musical career together.
“We’ve always loved experimenting with different instruments and sounds in the studio, but we’ve never used horns before,” said guitarist and vocalist Dave Haywood. “The energy they brought to this song is really fun and was validation for all three of us that it had to be our first single back.”
With the huge splash of “You Look Good” bringing the trio back into the country scene, they are also gearing up to embark on their You Look Good World Tour this summer. Featuring guests like Kelsea Ballerini and Brett Young, Lady A will be bringing the funk everywhere they visit throughout their time on the road.
“We knew after the time off that we wanted to get back out on the road in a big way. We couldn’t be more ready to get back out there with the fans and hopefully make a few new ones too,” explained vocalist Charles Kelley.
