Little Big Town Claims ACM Awards Vocal Group of the Year

Little Big Town are the reigning Vocal Group of the Year. Tonight (April 3), the quartet were announced the winners at this year’s ACM Awards for the third consecutive year.

Taking the stage together, Kimberly Schlapman was first at the microphone to thank the audience.

“Thank y’all so much,” she said.

Meanwhile, bandmate Phillip Sweet added his gratitude, sharing that the excitement for making music has not lessened over the years.

“It is such a gift to make music every day and we are so thankful to do this. It’s more fun every day,” he added.

While Karen Fairchild thanked the group’s families as each member grew up singing with their respective family, Schlapman closed the acceptance speech with relief.

“Thank you Chris Stapleton for not being a group,” she joked.

Little Big Town have previously won Vocal Group of the Year in 2012 and each year since 2014.

The 51st Academy of Country Music Awards air live on CBS tonight.
