Little Big Town Gets Groovy With the ‘Summer Fever’

Throw on your shades and crank up the radio because it’s time to feel that “Summer Fever” thanks to Little Big Town’s latest release.
Reeling in the ‘70s throwback sprinkled throughout all genres at the moment, Little Big Town infused disco attitude with some funky reverb and a booming beat to get even John Travolta out of his chair and shaking his hips on the dance floor. At the same time, the tracks sounds reminiscent to LBT’s earlier years where simplicity was key and lyric ruled all.

Fairchild, Jesse Frasure, Cary Barlowe and Sam Romans take songwriting credits on “Summer Fever,” with Frasure teaming together with Shane McAnally for the producing side of things. Even when they heard the far out creation come to life, they knew its potential as a country anthem for the song was undeniable.
“I dare you to sit still when this song comes on…it’s impossible,” co-producer McAnally said of the track. “I don’t even dance, but something comes over me when this thing kicks in. I can’t wait for the world to catch Summer Fever.”
The group will come together for the live debut performance of “Summer Fever,” in between one of the takes during their hosting gig at the 2018 CMT Music Awards tonight. The video for the song is also set to premiere on Thursday, June 7, to fans’ delight.
“Summer Fever” is available everywhere now, and fans can tune in to see Little Big Town take on the hosting duties at the 2018 CMT Music Awards, airing tonight at 8 p.m. EST on CMT.
