Little Big Town came out on top when they won the award for Group Video of the Year with the video for “When Someone Stops Loving You” at the 2018 CMT Music Awards.

Luke Combs and Leon Bridges came out together with drinks in hand to present the award, just hours after the two teamed up during a live downtown concert for the filming of CMT Crossroads. They told everyone in attendance that Little Big Town earned the prize to the band’s surprise, and they stormed the stage in shock over the momentous occasion.

“Country music fans, we love you,” Kimberly Schlapman yelled in a happy tone to the audience.

“Thank you so much! We are so grateful. This is very unexpected. This song…we just love this song and we are so thankful for you guys for voting for it,” Phillip Sweet added on behalf of the quartet.

Little Big Town took a little bit of time to themselves to prepare for the release of their new song, “Summer Fever,” but their last album, The Breaker, gained critical attention from country fans and music writers alike. They even sold out many dates of their residency at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.

The other nominees included in the category were Lady Antebellum with “You Look Good,” LANCO with “Greatest Love Story,” Midland with “Make A Little,” Old Dominion with “No Such Thing As A Broken Heart,” Rascal Flatts with “Yours If You Want It” and Zac Brown Band with “My Old Man”.

The 2018 CMT Music Awards were hosted by Little Big Town, and aired live from the Bridgestone Arena in downtown Nashville.
