Little Big Town made the Mother Church of Country Music their home over the past year, and Nashville is honoring the country quartet for their residency accomplishments with their very own star on the Music City Walk of Fame.

Hosting multiple shows throughout the year at the famous Ryman auditorium, Little Big Town made themselves quite comfortable surrounded by its rather historic halls and brought back to the regular country spirit like that of the Grand Ole Opry days. The release of their most recent album, The Breaker, also landed widespread attention for hit songs such as “Better Man,” “Happy People” and “When Someone Stops Loving You.”

This success in a short period of time earned them the opportunity to join the star-studded list of names paved into the Music City Walk of Fame Park pathway for their efforts and connection to keeping country music alive.

Two other inductees will also earn their stars in September who impacted the historical significance of the iconic Ryman Auditorium. Tom Ryman and Lula C. Naff will also be honored during the ceremony, with Ryman representing the inspiration for the building of the Union Gospel Tabernacle back in the day and Naff as the former manager of the Ryman Auditorium responsible for booking the Grand Ole Opry at the venue.

“Tom Ryman had a vision. Lula Naff had a plan. And their tenacity and skill created one of Nashville’s most beautiful and iconic buildings – and one of the greatest music venues the world has ever seen. Now Little Big Town is adding a new chapter to the story of the Mother Church of Country Music with its unprecedented Ryman residency. The induction of each of these legends into the Music City Walk of Fame couldn’t be more appropriate as the Ryman celebrates 125 years of gorgeous music and amazing history,” Nashville Mayor Megan Barry stated.

The induction will also mark the Ryman Auditorium’s 125th anniversary as one of the most well-known buildings in all of Nashville. Representing a historic yet musical landmark unlike any other in Tennessee brings hundreds of thousands of visitors into its welcoming doors.

The induction ceremony for Little Big Town on the Music City Walk of Fame will be held in Nashville on September 14 at 1 p.m. CT and will be open to the public for viewing.
