Love and Theft’s Journey to Recording ‘Whiskey On My Breath’

Love and Theft - CountryMusicIslove

Six years ago, Love and Theft released their debut single, “Runaway.” At the time, they were a trio and were signed to the now defunct Carolwood Records, which was a division of Lyric Street Records. Love and Theft later made the move to RCA Records Nashville where their earned their first No.1 single with “Angel Eyes.” They’re now a duo ready to release their third album and are currently unsigned. Their career path has been rocky, but they always seem to come out on top.

The duo’s Eric Gunderson and Stephen Barker Liles recently sat down with CountryMusicIsLove to discuss the journey that has led them from “Runaway” to their forthcoming album, Whiskey On My Breath. In the video below, Eric and Stephen discuss what influenced their choices when compiling the album, as well as their decision to release the project on their own Hate & Purchase Music imprint.
