Lucy Hale Opens Up About Debut Album, Boyfriend Joel Crouse
Lucy Hale has been hard at work on her debut album, Road Between. The actress-gone-singer sat down with On Air with Ryan Seacrest today to chat about the project.
“We spent two-and-a-half years making the album,” she explained. “I always loved country music, and I kind of didn’t know what I wanted to do musically for a while. But it just felt right.”
One of Hale’s favorite songs on the album is one called “Nervous Girl.” “It was one we were sent last minute … It was like 2 a.m. and I heard this song and I just started crying. I was like, ‘You have to let them let me sing this song.’ I think it was on hold for someone else. And then I finally got to sing it.”
Following the album discussion, hosts Ryan Seacrest and Ellen K made sure to ask Lucy about her boyfriend, country newcomer Joel Crouse. “It’s great,” she told the duo. “I’m happy. Life is good.”
