We all know by now that Blake Shelton has a certain someone he’s got his eye on for Season 12 of NBC’s The Voice and that special person just so happens to be his buddy, Luke Bryan.

Bryan signed up to join his pal and fellow country coach for a bit of mentoring when it came down to the Battle Rounds of the hit reality competition show. Little did he know how vital the advice he gave would be toward each contestant’s career and the invaluable experience he would be taking home with him thanks to Shelton.

“I think The Voice is an amazing opportunity,” Bryan said in the sneak peek clip. “You’re advising people that are gonna take your words and use ’em the rest of their lives. At the end of the day, watching stars be born, I don’t think that ever gets old.”

Spreading the love between the two, Shelton seems quite thrilled to have Bryan join along for the ride with a cute hug and kiss on the cheek as a welcoming to the chaos. After spreading some good pointers during the contestants’ rehearsals, it looks as though Bryan may soon want to hope up into one of those bright red spinning chairs to try his own shot at coaching some hopeful singers.

The Battle Rounds of this season’s The Voice will begin soon as the show airs Monday and Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
