Longtime friends, label mates, and second-time ACM Awards co-hosts Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley have arrived in Sin City and are ready to step into the spotlight for Sunday’s 52nd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards.

In between making media rounds in New York City and rehearsals in Las Vegas, the pair took time to chat with media at a press conference on Friday morning (March 31).

As always, the two couldn’t resist poking fun at each other. Bentley joked how Bryan vowed he wouldn’t start gambling until Sunday when all of their work was done, but assured us that his promise has already been broken.

“The second we get here, we’re rolling through the airport and he’s already hitting the slot machines on the way to the baggage claim. He can’t help himself,” the “Black” singer laughed.

The pair also discussed being more involved in the production and writing of the show this year and explained why they are a bit hesitant to pick on their peers throughout the show.

“We started singling some out, but then it becomes the game of who can handle it. Then you start dissecting where they’re at in their life,” Bryan shared.

“How far they live from your house,” Bentley interjected. “Because we all live within like 20 minutes from each other. I’m gonna bump into them at Krogers.”

“Do they know your address? Do their kids go to school with your kids,” Bryan added with a laugh.

“We’ve got a few picked out,” Bentley assured.
