Luke Bryan Leads 2016 American Country Countdown Awards Finalists

The 2^nd annual American Country Countdown Awards is just around the corner and the finalists have been revealed.

Leading the pack with seven nominations is Luke Bryan, including nods as Artist of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year for Kill The Lights.

Sam Hunt is also a top nominee with five, including Artist of the Year and Album of the Year with Montevallo.

Winners of each category are chosen based on their album sales, touring data and radio airplay.

Additionally, E! Online reports that Carrie Underwood has been added to the bill as a performer. She joins previously announced performers Bryan, Florida Georgia Line and Thomas Rhett.

The two-hour 2016 ACCAs will air live on FOX on Sunday May 1 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed), and will take place at The Forum in Inglewood, CA.
