Nothing says father-son bonding in the South more than teaching the little one how to participate in casual shooting out on the farm. Luke Bryan treated his kid to a shooting session during some of his time off from recording and touring. Although Tate may only be seven years old, the country singer wanted to start him early so he can join on hunting trips later on in the future with the rest of the boys.

Handing off the gun to Tate, Bryan supervises the readying of the rifle by telling him to close the barrel and get his steady stance on. As his son calls for a pull, he aims high and comes out on top by mastering his first target.

“Tater tot is on it,” Bryan wrote with the video.

It’s no surprise that Bryan is introducing the sport pretty early in Tate’s life, since he himself enjoys a day out on the ranch looking for the ultimate hunting prize. The singer expressed his love of the game even more so by releasing “Huntin’, Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day” out to country radio, in which fans let it soar up the charts to a No. 1 position.

Luke Bryan will have to teach Tate everything he knows before his massive What Makes You Country Tour takes him away for the long summer. Fans can find more information about the tour on Bryan’s website.
