Country superstar Luke Bryan paid a surprise visit to firefighters in Spring Hill, Tennessee on Friday afternoon (Dec. 9).

The “Fast” singer dropped by the Fire Department’s annual Christmas luncheon at a local Mexican restaurant to thank the crew for their service. While there, he signed autographs and posed for photos. According to WKRN, he also signed a guitar to be used in an upcoming fundraiser.

Several of the firefighters from the Spring Hill crew recently returned from Gaitlinburg where they were deployed to assist with the wildfire that blazed through the area, killing 14 and damaging or destroying 2,460 buildings.

Bryan has been making the most of his time off since his wildly successful Kill the Lights Tour came to a close. Last month, he and his family vacationed at Disney World, and recently, he helped Charlie Daniels celebrate his 80th birthday at a star-studded Nashville concert. The Georgia native’s next scheduled concert is set for December 30 in Las Vegas.
