The 10th wedding anniversary gift theme typically falls into the tin or aluminum category, but Luke Bryan decided to forgo that tradition and presented his wife with a massive diamond ring.

Bryan and his lucky lady, Caroline, tied the knot more than ten years ago and he wanted to honor their commitment by giving her the next step up in the jewelry department with a nice rock added to that special finger.

“It was a little 10-year anniversary gift. Ten years with me feels like a thousand. It was certainly the least I could do,” he laughed to People at the 2017 CMT Artists of the Year event.

The pair met back when Bryan was a senior at Georgia Southern University, and the “Light It Up” has admitted a number of times before that his connection to Caroline was truly love at first sight. The two began their relationship and dated for several years before becoming Mr. and Mrs. Bryan in the winter of 2006 during a romantic December ceremony.

Their romance blossomed from their special day on, with the births of their sons—Thomas ‘Bo’, who is nine years old, and Tatum, who is seven years old. The country singer also welcomed his late sister’s three children into his household to create an extended family line full of love.

Bryan was one of the five artists honored at the CMT Artists of the Year evening, alongside Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban and Sam Hunt. The night was filled with hope toward a future together, supporting all those affected by recent tragedies throughout the past couple months.

In just a couple weeks’ time, Bryan will be taking the stage at the Bridgestone Arena to perform for the 51st Annual CMA Awards. The show broadcasts live from Nashville on Wednesday, November 8, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
