Everyone has a hero in life and it seems like Luke Combs points his adoration toward comedian and actor Will Ferrell.

Although Combs probably knows a lot of other music idols he looks up to, it’s Ferrell that gets his funny bone tingling whenever he sees the actor in sketches or movies. Hinting that he hopes to chat with the SNL alum one day in the future, Combs gushed about how much he enjoys Ferrell’s approach to comedy.

“I’m a big Will Ferrell guy, I’ve always wanted to meet that guy. He’s like the funniest dude ever,” Combs recently shared with Taste of Country Nights.

Combs specifically loves whenever Ferrell ad-libs throughout scenes, adding unexpected yet subtle puns throughout each part he plays. Because of his natural humor, the country singer finds the small moments that Ferrell creates as some of the best parts of entire movies that the actor plays in.

“Those little parts add so much to the movie for me. [It’s] almost incredibly funnier than when he’s in the whole thing, because he’s so much funnier to me than everyone else in the movies,” he admitted.

One memorable skit that stole Combs’ heart was when Ferrell took on the role of a man who thinks he’s a cat, which still makes the “Hurricane” singer cry of laughter anytime he sees it.

“There’s a skit where he’s essentially rolling around on the floor playing with cat toys pretending to be a cat. It’s hysterical,” he explained to the publication.

Although Combs himself will stick to music over comedy, he will continue to promote his latest single to radio called “One Number Away.”
