Maddie & Tae, Kelsea Ballerini Big Winners at Radio Disney Music Awards
Maddie & Tae and Kelsea Ballerini were big winners at the 2016 Radio Disney Music Awards, held in Los Angeles over the weekend.
Prior to Sunday’s American Country Countdown Awards, several Country artists were on hand for the 2016 Radio Disney Music Awards.
The show was held Saturday (April 30) at the Microsoft Theater inLos Angeles, and taped to air onThe Disney Channel on Sunday evening (May 1).
Maddie & Tae took home two Radio Disney Music Awards, one forRadio Disney Country Favorite Artist and the other forRadio Disney Country Favorite Song for their hit “Fly.”
Also taking home a Radio Disney Music Award was Kelsea Ballerini, who won the title of “The Freshest Best New Artist” during the show. Ballerini also performed with pop artist Daya in a mashup of their hits”Peter Pan” and “Hide Away.”
Also in attendance at the RDMAs was RaeLynn, Dan + Shay, and rising trio Temecula Road. Blake Shelton made a surprise appearance to support girlfriend Gwen Stefani, who was receiving the “Hero” award.
