Maren Morris Lands at No.1 with ‘Hero’

Country music’s newest sensation Maren Morris is sitting pretty at the top of the Billboard Country Albums Chart this week with her major label debut album, Hero.

The 11-track collection debuted at No.1 with 37,000 in sales after its June 3 release. Additionally, Hero earned a spot in the top 5 on the all-genre Billboard Top 200 Chart.

With this news, Hero becomes the first debut album to open at the top of the Country chart in 2016.

Today, Morris is sending the fan-favorite track “80s Mercedes” to Country radio. The song is the follow up to the Texas native’s RIAA GOLD-certified debut hit, “My Church.”

Fans can catch Morris on the road with Keith Urban throughout the summer on his RipCORD World Tour.
