Maren Morris Stuns in ‘The Middle’ Target Commercial with Zedd

Maren Morris was the star of a new Target commercial during the 60th GRAMMY Awards. The singer teamed up with collaborators Zedd and Grey for the music video premiere of “The Middle.”

The three-minute commercial features Morris entering an elevator at what looks like a swanky New York City hotel before she’s seen in the middle of a choreographed dance routine. Wearing all red, she is surrounded by dancers dressed in black and white. Meanwhile, Zedd and Grey could be found in the background on keyboards and guitars.

The big production and prime-time spot on the GRAMMYs puts Morris in the spotlight and she embraced it well. A natural headliner with a big voice, Morris belted the lyrics on “The Middle” and was always poised while kids danced and did backflips around her.

The polished music video embraced the vibrant Target logo with red spotlights. A futuristic background and fireworks added more visuals as dancers surrounded Morris, Zedd and Grey, at the video’s end for a life-size Target logo. The video debuted as part of the retail giant’s #MoreMusic campaign

“Music is — and always has been — an important part of Target’s DNA,” said Rick Gomez, Target’s chief marketing officer, to PEOPLE. “This year, we wanted to mark the Grammy’s 60th anniversary by celebrating something really special: a one-of-a-kind mashup that brings together two different genres through a song that many musical fans are already playing on repeat.”

Morris previously gushed about the collaboration with Zedd for “The Middle” earlier this month on Twitter.

“When @Zedd comes to Nashville to record your vocal, you race there. So proud to be apart of this jam. The Middle is out everywhere, now! @greymusic ,” she tweeted out following the song’s release.
