Now that Maren Morris put a ring on it and soaked up the sun on her honeymoon getaway, it’s time for the singer to get back into the rise and grind mentality in preparing for her sophomore release.

“Ryan and I have been together over two years so that’s the majority of this album’s songs that have been written is like that time I’ve been with him, so it’s a lot more love songs. I’m just a happier human being this time around. I was going through a breakup during ‘Hero’ or before ‘Hero’ and this time it’s like I’m not as mopey and brooding. There will still be some of those songs but for the most part it’s very jovial and just happy to be alive, happy to be here and do what I love and have found my partner in life,” Morris admitted to Sounds Like Nashville and other media about the album during an interview.

Morris gained her critical acclaim in country music following the release of her debut single, “My Church.” Earning GRAMMY, ACM and CMA nominations quickly and building up a massive fanbase, she continued on her roll with the arrival of Hero, which produced favorites like “80s Mercedes” and her No. 1 hit, “I Could Use a Love Song.”

While fans wait to hear the new tunes, they can listen to Morris’ latest single on country radio, “Rich,” now.
