Fans get to see Maren Morris do her thing on stage whenever they snag a ticket to a live show on the road, but there’s more that happens behind the scenes when the country singer is on tour.

Making a pit stop to hang out at NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Morris exposed some of her favorite tour stories while sitting down backstage preparing for her performance. Talking about her past couple years performing alongside with artists like Keith Urban and Sam Hunt, she remembered some of the days off they shared and how important those are as much as the moments spent on stage.

Morris even reminisced on one of the most fun days she had with Urban’s crew when he took everyone on the tour team out for a movie day. Going to the theater as a large group ran by Urban himself, Morris admitted that the employees were in for quite the surprise.

“We saw Star Trek: Into Darkness, I think that was the one. But yeah, very random and I was watching the people behind the counter—the girls that were working there at the theater that day—and to look up and double take and see Keith Urban ordering, like, Sour Patch Kids…that must have been pretty cool for them,” Morris explained with a laugh.

She also dove into her time spent at her favorite venue, which just so happens to be the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Denver, Colorado. Not only did Morris get to perform in the outdoor venue, but her tour mates got to watch the eclipse right from the middle of the stage when it hit over the state.

The CMA Award-nominated singer then presented herself on the Rockefeller set stage to perform “Rich” off of her debut album.

Morris will continue touring throughout the rest of the year, with dates lined up through October.
