Another day, another new building planned to find a home in the heart of downtown Nashville as the Jimmy Buffett-inspired franchise sets sights on constructing a hotel for visitors in the area.

The blueprints for the property showcase 14 stories and 217 estimated rooms to house guests who travel out to Nashville throughout the year. With Music City’s booming hospitality economy continuing to rise, the Margaritaville concept will follow as the second hotel for the company in Tennessee with the first set in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

As many other nearby inns and hotels opening up in Nashville, the Margaritaville property will host its own outdoor pool, sun deck and rooftop bar for patrons to relax and enjoy their vacation with a paradise feel. Built just down the street from the action in the SoBro borough, the hotel will be placed right near 5th Avenue South and Peabody Avenue.

Reports say the project is expected to cost about $82 million and take almost a year and a half to complete the construction process.

Nashville is already home to one of the many Margaritaville restaurants, in which the eatery can be found right on Broadway in the downtown area. Flocks of tourists flood the island-inspired spot to chow down on some delicious food specials, enjoy a drink or two and indulge themselves on the live music atmosphere that the city is known for.

The Margaritaville Hotel plans to open to the public in the summer of 2019.
