Keeping with the post-season tradition, another country superstar took center ice to sing the National Anthem ahead of the Nashville Predators home game. Stepping up to to show her seventh man support was powerhouse Martina McBride, who did the city proud with her rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner.

Rumors of McBride’s performance began swirling days earlier after The Tennessean reported that her eldest daughter, Delaney, had posted to her personal Facebook about the involvement. According to the outlet, Delaney posted a photo of her dad, John, with the coveted Stanley Cup trophy with the caption, “When your dad gets to hang with the Stanley Cup? Oh and Tina is singing the anthem on Saturday. LOOK OUT.”

Other superstars lending their support to the home team include Carrie UnderwoodLuke Bryan, Little Big Town, Lady Antebellum, Vince GillKeith Urban, Kelly Clarkson and Trisha Yearwood. The Preds skate into Saturday night’s game with a 2 game deficit to opponents, the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Fans in Nashville lined the streets in the Lower Broadway area to support the Preds early Saturday afternoon. Alan Jackson kept the reportedly 30-40,000 fans entertained with a free show outside of Bridgestone Arena.

The Predators skate in Nashville again on Monday, June 5 for Game 4 of the Stanley Cup finals.
