Now that their song, “Drinkin’ Problem,” has caught the attention of country fans everywhere, Midland is finally ready to put out their debut album.

The traditional trio brought twang back in the coolest way and introduced a more classical sound back into the country radio airwaves. Meshing together their acoustic guitar harmonies with tongue-in-cheek lyrics, Midland hopes their first look from listeners embodies their authentic sound without losing the identity they’ve created within the group.

“We’re working really hard at cultivating an album full of songs that mean something to us but also fit together,” Cameron Duddy of the group said to Billboard. “Picking songs that fit together nice and tell our story and represent the place that we’re at right now in music has been the agenda for putting this thing together, and we’re very excited to share it with people. We’re proud of it.”

Creating a cohesive set of songs may sound difficult for any artist, but Midland just hopes the translation over to their concerts doesn’t lose the spirit of the record and the genuine lyrics they’ve formed to define their personality as a country band.

Midland is boosting themselves up for a good year with not only their first-ever record heading out to fans, but also the guys will take on the road life with Jon Pardi and Runaway June for a CMT Tour later this fall.

Their yet-to-be-titled debut album, featuring “Drinkin’ Problem,” will come out on September 22.
