Texas trio Midland is celebrating the release of their debut album, On The Rocks, with the music video for their new single, “Make A Little.”

“‘Make A Little’ is a song that we wrote about something that we think that everybody could always use a little bit of, a little bit more of in their lives and that’s love,” explained the band’s Mark Wystrach of the track he wrote with bandmates Cameron Duddy and Jess Carson, as well as Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne. “It’s a bit of an homage back to the late 80s, 90s honky tonk, kind of rock-n-roll songs that made everybody get up and go dancing and two-stepping and usually that’s how it all starts, right there on the dance floor.”

Midland’s hope to spread a little more love in the world comes through in the lyrics of the tune as they croon, “we should make a little, generate a little / maybe even make the world a better place a little.”

The clip bounces between scenes of the trio’s performance in a small club as they don the same classic outfits from their album cover, as well as behind-the-scenes shots captured before the show. From baseball in a parking lot to hanging out with fans, Midland ‘make a little’ more memories for themselves along the way.

“Make A Little” is the follow-up to their gold-certified No.1 single “Drinkin’ Problem.” The trio will take the tune out on the road when they open for Little Big Town’s The Breaker Tour in early 2018.

On The Rocks is available everywhere now.
